PodBrief, Inc. ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PodBrief mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

• Name and email address (when you sign up using email/password, Google, or Apple).
• Authentication credentials, stored securely via Firebase Authentication.

Usage Information

• Listening history, including played episodes, playback time, and favorites.
• In-app activity, such as summary views and interactions.

App Performance & Diagnostics

We use Firebase, including Crashlytics, to track app performance, crashes, and diagnostic events.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize your podcast experience
• Track and display listening history
• Show AI-generated summaries for episodes you listen to
• Improve app performance and identify bugs
• Offer support and account management
• Send occasional account-related updates

If you subscribe to a premium tier, we also use your data to enable and verify subscription benefits.

3. Analytics & Advertising

We may use third-party analytics and advertising SDKs to:

• Understand usage patterns
• Improve user experience
• Display relevant ads (if and when introduced)

These third parties may use cookies or mobile identifiers to track usage across sessions.

4. AI Summarization

To deliver podcast summaries, we process episode audio and generate transcripts. These summaries may be stored and associated with your account to track what content you’ve read or interacted with.

5. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using Firebase and Firestore infrastructure. Passwords are never stored in plaintext. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share or sell your personal information to third parties.

We currently do not share anonymized data with external partners.

7. Your Controls

You can:

• Update your email or password
• Delete your account at any time via the Settings page

At this time, we do not offer opt-out options for analytics tracking.

8. Children’s Privacy

PodBrief is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, practices, or regulations. We’ll notify you via in-app notice or email when material changes occur.
